What the Scholarship Offers
The scholarship provides a variety of benefits designed to support students’ educational journeys:
Undergraduate Grant – Awarded to students in the Merit and Honors categories, with a grant value of ₦100,000.
Postgraduate Grant – Available for postgraduate students pursuing advanced studies, with a grant value of ₦150,000.
Long-Term Sponsorship – Ongoing support that can continue throughout your academic journey.
Family Relief – Significantly reduces the educational financial burden on students’ families, enabling a greater focus on academic success.
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
General Requirements:
- Must be a Muslim student enrolled at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
- Must be in 200-level or above.
- Must not be receiving any other scholarship at the time of application.
- Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students across all departments.
- Current or returning scholarship awardees remain eligible.
Academic Requirements:
- Merit Scholarship: Minimum CGPA of 3.50.
- Honors Scholarship: Minimum CGPA of 2.50.
- Physically Challenged Students: Minimum CGPA of 2.50.
- Health Sciences Students: Minimum requirement is 50%.
Applicant Categories

Fresh Applicants – Individuals who have never received the UNIFEMGA Scholarship or who are reapplying after an unsuccessful attempt. Fresh applicants must prepare all required documents.
Returning Applicants – Students who have previously received the scholarship and are seeking continued support. Returning applicants do not need to upload documents online, as their records are already stored in the UNIFEMGA system.
