📌 Mentor4Scholars Advisory: What Applicants Should Know

The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG) Scholarship 2026 is an annual initiative designed to support female undergraduate students studying in Nigerian universities. The program aims to promote education among Nigerian women while easing the financial burden of university education.

Typically, the scholarship provides financial awards to selected students from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, making it a nationwide opportunity for female undergraduates.

At Mentor4Scholars, one important insight for applicants is that this scholarship strongly values clarity and completeness. Unlike many online scholarships that only require a short form, the NWAG scholarship involves multiple supporting documents and a structured essay, which means attention to detail is essential.

Applicants are usually required to submit documents such as proof of state of origin, recommendation letters, university ID, and an essay explaining a social issue or topic provided by the organizers

A strong application should therefore focus on three key areas:

  • Demonstrating genuine financial need

  • Presenting clear academic commitment

  • Writing a thoughtful essay that addresses the given topic with real insight

Students who prepare their documents early and carefully structure their essay often stand a better chance of being shortlisted.
