Role: Accounting Intern (NYSC)

The Accounting Intern will support the finance and accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting Intern, your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with bookkeeping and financial record maintenance

  • Supporting bank reconciliation and account balancing processes

  • Helping to prepare financial reports and supporting schedules

  • Organizing accounting documents and payment records

  • Assisting with expense tracking and invoice processing

  • Supporting audit preparation and compliance documentation

  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team

This role will help interns build practical accounting experience and improve their understanding of organizational financial systems.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants should:

  • Be a current NYSC corps member posted to Abuja or willing to relocate

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Have basic knowledge of accounting principles

  • Possess good numerical and analytical skills

  • Be detail-oriented and well organized

  • Demonstrate professionalism and willingness to learn

  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting tools
